The Financials

The Lamp of Learning is very efficient in getting donation dollars into the hands of needy students. We operate at about 82% efficiency, minimizing expenses charged. The majority of expenses consists of marketing and fund management expenses charged by the San Diego Foundation.  The remaining expenses consist of insurance and miscellaneous office expenses.

In addition to scholarships, the Lamp of Learning awards a laptop computer to all juniors that apply in their junior year of high school and interview.  These donations are made possible by a generous donation from our partner orginization, Computers to San Diego Kids.
